Issen (English Ver.)

Be still—

Wind

Waves

Cicadas

Bear witness

To this one strike

My eyes are clear

My heart is still

Within this blade

Dwells a will

Without doubt

One breath

One step

Now

One Breath

One Strike

Hold your breath

One Heart

One Blade

Just one flash

Don't Blink

Don't Move

In that single moment

I'll cut

Through the summer sky

The sunlight burns

The sand is white

Only the heat haze

Shimmers

Distant waves

A heartbeat near

Listen closely

And time stands still

All those days

Of training

Carried quietly

Inside my chest

A single drop of sweat

Upon the hilt

I seek no victory

I fear no defeat

Just let the blade

Move beautifully

The wind says nothing

The waves make no sound

They have only waited

For this moment

One Breath

One Strike

Hold your breath

One Heart

One Blade

Just one flash

Don't Blink

Don't Move

In that single moment

I'll cut

Through the summer sky

Cut through doubt

Cut through fear

Cut away

The weakness within

Read the wind

That eyes cannot see

Hear the sound

That makes no sound

One step forward

Breath and body

Become one

Everything I am

Rests upon

This single moment

One Breath

One Strike

Hold your breath

One Heart

One Blade

Just one flash

Don't Blink

Don't Move

In that single moment

I'll cut

Through the summer sky

One breath

One step

One blade
