Besides playing Michael Lee on the HBO series The Wire and DixonWilson on the CW series 90210, actor Tristan Paul Mack Wilds becamesimply Mack Wilds in 2010 when he began moonlighting as an R&Bartist.The Staten lsland native signed a recording deal with theTen2One label in 2010. In 2011, his track"2 Girlz" landed on an episodeof 90210, and his debut EP, Remember Remember, appeared beforethe end ofthe year. After he signed to Salaam Remi's Sony-distributedLouder Than Life label, Wilds released his first album, New York: A LoveStory, in 2013.Featuring guest appearances from Raekwon, MethodMan, and Doug E. Fresh, it debuted on Billboard's R&B/hip-hop chart atnumber 28 and was later nominated for a Grammy award in thecategoryof Best Urban Contemporary Album. A handful of Sony-distributed singles, including an update of Michael Jackson's 1992 hit"Remember theTime" and the nostalgic"Love in the 9Oz" werereleased in 2015.Wilds eventuallywent independent and released hissecond album,AfterHours, in 2017. At the time, he was co-starring asaspiring rap producer DeeVee in The Breaks, a VH1 series set,appropriatelyenough for Wilds, in early-'90s New York City.~
