Joy has gone away
She floats above the clouds
And looking down on all she sees
She cries with voice so loud
Why o god must this come to pass
In my home of many a year
The nest is spoiled it's overrun
With pests that scarcely care
They come and go like they own the place
They trample and they trod
Not only on their mother earth
But on my people of sod
They rip they tear they burrow deep
They slash away the green
They mix my blue with brown and grey
How can they be so mean
Joy has gone away
She floats above the clouds
And looking down on all she sees
She cries with voice so loud
Joy will come again I say
But not until I've had my day
And not until these creatures pay
My wrath I cannot stay
Joy has gone away
She floats above the clouds
And looking down on all she sees
She cries with voice so loud
