Frankie and Johnny (Remastered) - Stevie Wonder
Lyrics by：Clarence Paul
Composed by：Clarence Paul
I wanna tell you 'bout Frankie yeah and Johnny
They were lovers yes they were uh-huh
I just wanna tell you how they could love love oh yeah
They were true to each other yeah
Just as true as the stars above
He was her man he was her man
But he done her wrong
Yes he did
He done her wrong
Frankie went down to the depot yes she did uh-huh
They tell me that she looked in a window so high high oh yeah
When she saw her lover Johnny yeah
Oh with his arm around another's bride
He was her man he was her man
But he done her wrong
Yes he did
He done her wrong
They tell me that Frankie shot Johnny once oh-oh
They tell me that Frankie shot Johnny twice oh yeah
But the third time she shot him
That bullet took his life
The judge said to Frankie yes he did uh-huh
Just as plain as plain can be oh oh yeah
You are charged to love with Johnny yeah
Murder
In the first degree
He was her man he shot her man
But he done her wrong
Yes he did
He done her wrong
Ooh yeah
