Loving someone
And being loved
Means so much to me
I always make fun of it and stuff
But isn't everything we do in life
A way to be loved loved loved
A little more
Flow like the wind and the waves
In an hour filled with hope I'll remain
By your side if you let me
Not in dreams have I felt this way
I don't let imagination
Transport me to places
Where moments of shame
Discontent disappointment
May flow in abundance
But yet you intrugue me
So here I stand beaming
With glimmers of you
You feel like sunset
I don't miss the moon
But only when you are around
Hover the waters
Ocean meets the sky
I could stand here all day by your side
You feel like purple flowers
Your dress it pirouettes the wind
You hover the horizon
You pave new pathways I've not been
You keep me still and grounded
Your kindness keeps me far from sin
You put a smile upon my face
I did not know I needed
You paint a picture vivid enough
To cut through the blur
To which I've grown accustomed to serve
You signify the end and the beginning
Knee-deep in the sand
We watch our demons sizzle in the sunset abyss
The washing away of our sins
With the promise of a new dawn
A token of hope in a poignant present
May we hold and cherish these moments forever
As we do out newborn children
And may hope never fail to pay us frequent visits
