Welcome back to the dream of a rotten mind
The rooms are half empty, the hallways are where you’ll survive
The boys in the hotel are slovenly drunk on the job
Their promise of gentle discernment expired
The difference this time is you’re gagging for it
The difference this time is your appetite for hate
The change is the calendar year
The pretense is order
The result is suffering death for the kids
Welcome back
Welcome back
A day or a lifetime stay
Our guests are revolting but never complain
The feeling is forever as time flows backwards up at the old hotel
The difference this time is there’s no opposition
The difference this time is all the answers have been farmed
The smell - burnt plastic in the air
The forced abjection before you as you slump pin-eyed in the bed-facing chair
Welcome back
Welcome back
Welcome back
A day or a lifetime stay
Misery isn’t emptiness - just an order to be filled
This feeling is forever as time flows backwards up at the old hotel
The way this space turns inside-out and time flows backwards
This world will fall apart, my friend
As you go back and find your old self in this hotel you’d never never believe you were here
You would be saddened you were here
You’ll be ashamed you are still here
