Centuries decay

Empires fall

The stars blink out

And still, I stand

Stone turns to ash

Blood turns to sand

Names are forgotten

Like waves on the land

I walked through ages

I burned through kings

Their prayers, their wars

Don't mean a thing

I watched the light

Bleed from their skies

I watched the hope

Choke and die

I walk through darkened eras—alone, undone

Time eats my heart

But I refuse to fall

I carry the ruins

Tombs collapse

Statues weep

The faces I loved

Sink too deep

Every whisper

Every prayer

Turns to silence

In the dead air
