They come and go and come back again

All the years of middlemen

Start to pile

You are perfect you are fair

Think that’s why I’ve kept you there

In a room safe from despair

Inner child

Now the older I get

The harder is to hear what you’ve been saying

Thought I was guarding your heart

Turns out I was the one doing the breaking

And I’m sorry I couldn’t tell

You don’t think that it's a mess

It's just glitter on the dress

That’s the power you possess

But these shadows in my mind

Make the beauty hard to find

So I make you hide behind denial

Maybe this is the part
