I traced my heart through constellations

A Capricorn spark, strong and sure

I watched love rise in gentle signs

Blushing under moons I’d never known before

I sang of seven winters warm

Of snowlight falling on laughter and skin

Of furry feet on wooden floors

Of magic born from my mother’s grin

I walked with grief

Shadows trailing behind me

But even then

One light remained

My brother’s fire..

My chosen family’s flame..

A house in my heart where magic knew my name..
