The little bunny who loved to help
小宝贝，盖上小被子，闭上小眼睛，晚安妈妈要开始讲故事了。今天的故事叫《喜欢帮助别人的小兔子》。
Little one, snuggle under your blankie, close your tiny eyes—Good-night Mommy is starting the story now. Tonight's story is called，“The Little Bunny Who Loved to Help”
在一个遥远的大森林里，住着一只可爱的小兔子，名叫米米。
Deep inside a faraway forest lived a cute little bunny named Mimi.
米米有着柔软的白色毛皮和闪闪发光的红眼睛。
Mimi had soft white fur and shiny red eyes.
每天，米米都会在森林里探险，和朋友们一起玩耍，他总是乐于助人，是森林里所有动物的好朋友。
Every day she explored and played with friends, always ready to help—she was everybody’s buddy.
一天，森林里突然下起了大雨。
One day a big rainstorm suddenly hit the forest.
雨点像珍珠一样从天空中洒落，打在树叶上发出沙沙的响声。
Raindrops fell like tiny pearls and went pitter-pat on the leaves.
许多小动物找不到避雨的地方，他们躲在树下，焦急地望着天空。
Lots of little animals couldn’t find a dry spot, so they cuddled under trees and looked up at the sky with worried eyes.
米米看到了这一切，他决定帮助他们。
Mimi saw this and decided to help.
他跳到一棵大树下，找到了一片巨大的树叶。
She hopped under a big tree and spotted a giant leaf.
这片树叶又大又圆，像一把天然的大伞。
The leaf was big and round—like a natural umbrella.
米米用尽全力，将树叶举在头上，为其他小动物遮风挡雨。
She used all her strength to hold the leaf over her head to block wind and rain for the others.
“来吧，朋友们，到我这里来！”米米大声喊道。
“Come here, friends! Under here!” Mimi called loudly.
小松鼠、小刺猬、甚至是慢吞吞的乌龟，都纷纷跑到米米的树叶下。
Squirrel, Hedgehog, even slow-poke Turtle hurried under Mimi’s leaf.
他们围成一个圈，紧紧靠在一起。
They formed a tight circle and snuggled close.
小松鼠说：米米，谢谢你，我觉得暖和多了。
Squirrel said, “Thanks, Mimi—I feel lots warmer!”
小刺猬说：“谢谢你米米，等雨停了，我请你吃苹果。“
Hedgehog said, “Thank you, Mimi. When the rain stops I’ll share my apples.”
小乌龟说：“米米你真好！”
Turtle said, “You’re super kind, Mimi!”
雨越下越大，但小动物们在树叶伞的保护下，感到非常安全。
The rain poured harder, but under the leaf umbrella everyone felt safe.
他们聊着天，分享自己的冒险故事。
They chatted and shared adventure stories.
小松鼠讲了他如何在树上跳跃，躲避老鹰的追捕；
Squirrel told how he jumped from tree to tree to escape a hawk;
小刺猬分享了他如何在森林里找到美味的果实。
Hedgehog shared how he found yummy berries in the woods.
就在这时，一只小鸟飞了过来，她的翅膀被雨水打湿了，飞不起来。
Just then a little bird flew over—her wings were soaked and she couldn’t fly.
米米小心翼翼地将小鸟放在树叶下，用自己的体温温暖她。
Mimi gently set the bird underneath and warmed her with her own body heat.
“谢谢你，小兔子。”小鸟感激地说。
"Thank you, little bunny,” the bird said gratefully.
雨终于停了，太阳从云层中露出了笑脸。
At last the rain stopped; the sun peeked out with a smile.
阳光洒在森林里，一切都变得明亮起来。
Sunshine spread over the forest and everything turned bright.
小鸟：“太好了，我的羽毛干了，我又可以飞了！谢谢你米米！”
Bird chirped, “Yay, my feathers are dry—I can fly again! Thanks, Mimi!”
小松鼠、小刺猬和小乌龟也纷纷感谢米米的帮助，他们一起在森林里玩耍，享受着雨后清新的空气。
Squirrel, Hedgehog, and Turtle thanked her too, and they all played together in the fresh after-rain air.
米米感到很快乐。
Mimi felt super happy.
小宝贝，帮助别人不仅能让别人感到幸福，也能让自己感到快乐。
Little one, helping others makes them happy and makes YOU happy inside.
