Saving Jesus

How could a man who’s sent from heaven

Ever really know 

What it’s like to be alone 

How could a God who’s three in one

Really understand 

The kind of lonely that I’ve been 

Sometimes I wonder 

how can that be true

Then I think about the cross 

And all that He went through 

There was no one saving Jesus 

Nobody by his side 

No one to take his place

Or find another way

When he gave his life for mine

Even His father looked away 

He was all alone up on that tree 

There was no one saving Jesus 

When He was saving me

That’s something I can’t figure out 

Cause if I was in His shoes 

Lord knows what I would do  

I woulda called those angels down 

To carry me away

But He chose to stay  

He was up there by Himself 

no telling how he felt 

The kind of pain that God only knows
