Step in easy, nice and slow
Let that funky rhythm flow
Feet keep talking to the beat
Every move feels so complete
Snap your fingers, clap your hands
Ride the groove, don't make no plans
Every heartbeat finds the line
Everything is right on time
Bass is walking nice and low
Horns are ready, here we go
Sax is singing through the air
Funky feeling everywhere
Take a turn and let it ride
Move your body side to side
Nothing heavy, nothing forced
Just the rhythm on its course
Funky!
Shake it down!
Move it!
Turn around!
Keep that pocket nice and tight
Groovin' through the day and night
Jump in!
Feel the sound!
Everybody gather 'round
One more step and one more spin
Let the funky fun begin
Let the music lead the way
Everybody starts to sway
Rhythm never tells a lie
Lift your spirit to the sky
Brass is shining, drums are strong
Everybody sings along
Feel the groove inside your soul
That's the way we lose control
Keep it rolling, nice and free
That's the way it's meant to be
Every pocket, every phrase
Takes us through these funky days
Raise it up and bring it low
Let the whole vibration grow
One more beat and one more smile
Stay together for a while
Funky!
Shake it down!
Move it!
Turn around!
Keep that pocket nice and tight
Groovin' through the day and night
Jump in!
Feel the sound!
Everybody gather 'round
One more step and one more spin
Let the funky fun begin
