I think this story needs a happy end

It’s so easy to get caught up in the dark and hopeless trend

As we grapple with the hands of time

Cos we’re ever marching forward, trying not to lose my mind

But maybe it doesn’t have to be that grand

We can try to save everything

We’re not supposed to be the overlords

Of this underrenovated place of seating and decor

You know this used to all be undeveloped land

Sometimes it feels like time goes by just faster than I can make memories

But the memories made have really started piling up

I’m starting to see that it all works out and we don’t need to get worked up over nothing

Cuz’ nothing is what these conflicts will be in the end

How did that chair get over here?

And who's making that sound across the room?

I think a class is just about to dismiss

So we’d better brace for impact (better brace for impact)
