Christ Loves Us as the Father Loved Him

Christ Loves Us as the Father Loved Him

Verse 1

Jesus calls us sons and daughters,

In His family we belong.

Through His love the chains are broken,

Now our hearts can sing His song.

He has joined us to the Father,

By His grace we’re made complete.

Every prayer is heard in heaven,

When we bow before His feet.

Chorus

Christ loves us as the Father loved Him,

We are held forever in His hand.

In His mercy we are one together,

Living for His glory in this land.

Christ loves us as the Father loved Him.

Verse 2

From the cross He won the victory,

Lifted high for all to see.

He has opened wide the doorway,

So the captives can go free.

Angels sing in holy wonder,

At the love that saved the lost.

How much more should we be praising,

For the power of the cross.

Chorus

Christ loves us as the Father loved Him,

We are held forever in His hand.

In His mercy we are one together,

Living for His glory in this land.

Christ loves us as the Father loved Him.

Verse 3

Let us walk in love unending,

Serving others in His name.

Every nation, every people,

One in Christ, we’ll rise the same.

When the world sees love between us,

They will know the truth is real.

God has sent His Son to save us,

And His love our hearts can feel.

Chorus (repeat)

Christ loves us as the Father loved Him,

We are held forever in His hand.

In His mercy we are one together,

Living for His glory in this land.

Christ loves us as the Father loved Him.
