Brung me up as best he could and loved me just the same
Old joe used to clean the bar liquior was his pay
Never saved a golden eagle drank it all away
Fare thee well old joe clark
Good by betsy brown
Fare thee well old joe clark
I＇m gonna leave this town
Meet a girl in arkanstook her with a fight
Busted jail that afternoon
Married her that night
Old joe clark walked down town backwards
People asked him why
＂I can go for one more drink
While wavin you goodbye＂
