I hear that sound, it’s creeping near,

A shadow’s lurking, my greatest fear.

Whiskers twitching, claws so sharp,

I better run before it starts!

Tiptoe fast, don't make a squeak,

Hide in corners, don't be weak!

Eyes are glowing, teeth that gleam,

This is no nightmare, it's not a dream!

Here comes the beast, I gotta flee!

He's after me, he won't let me be.

With every step, I feel his breath,

One wrong move, and it's certain death!

It’s just a cat, but it terrifies me!

He's sneaky, sly, and oh so fast,

I can't believe I've been outclassed.

Through the walls and up the stairs,

He's got nine lives, I’ve only one to spare!

I feel the pounce, he's closing in,

Gotta escape, before it’s the end!
