Words are like words when you chew them
Thunder is a thought unsaid
Roots rise from the earth sometimes
Strings can sing you to sleep
Yesterday we went out to the garden
And were struck by the world in our head
Birds, branches, breezes of all kinds
In the earth’s dirt where they keep
This little garden will take hold
This little garden will be our home
It’s just below the ground that we walk on
But you gotta kneel down to work
Sounds may free it from the soil
Compassion will live forever then
Demons will say it is all gone
Even though love is part of our lore
All of it is worth all the toils
With this garden, there’s no end
This little garden will be full
This little garden is our shared soul
