Beyond the jade gates lies a secret place
Where lotus flowers bloom and time has grace
Your silhouette emerged through morning mist
A gentle soul I could not resist
The garden paths were paved with fallen leaves
Each step you took put my heart at ease
We sat beneath the wisteria's embrace
And watched the world go by at slower pace
The koi fish swam in patterns through the pond
Their orange scales like fire to respond
Your fingers dipped into the cooling water
And suddenly everything felt halter
The stone lanterns flickered one by one
As if the evening knew our time had come
We carved our names upon the cypress tree
A promise made for you and me
When moonlight fell upon the garden wall
I saw our reflections in the hall
The jade garden held us in its palm
A sacred shelter soft and warm
