In the depths of the sea
Where shadows twist
Beneath the waves
Where forgotten gods exist
By the lighthouse
On a fateful night
Came a horror
Beyond mortal sight
In ancient times
Whispered through lore
A monstrous deity
From the ocean's floor
With tentacles reaching
For the sky so grim
Its eyes, like voids
Singing a hymn
"Awaken, awaken!"
The old sea calls
To the beast that sleeps
In the watery halls
The lighthouse stands
A solitary guide
As the village sleeps
With nowhere to hide
"Save our souls"
We pray to the night
As the beast ascends
A terror in sight
"Save our souls"
From the deep it came
To claim the land
In the old gods' name
The sea roared
A tempest unleashed
The storm rages as does the beast
Its maw gaping
A chasm of dread
The waters churned
Filled with the dead
"Return, return"
The ancient ones cry
To the depths
Where forgotten shadows lie
The lighthouse flickers
A final plea
Against the might
Of the relentless sea
"Save our souls"
The echo fades
As the dawn breaks
The horror it abates
Yet beneath the waves
It waits, it dreams
For the lighthouse to signal
Once more it seems
