Decline And Fall Of The American Empire.

It began with words, not swords in hand

A promise stretched across the land

You rose on dreams, swore by law

Now you're a kingdom with an open maw

A lying king in a painted crown

Burns the house while the roof comes down

Truth's a toy in a conman's hand

Bent and twisted to suit his plan

This is the decline and fall , we've seen it before

Legions rot while the traitor roars

The eagle's bleeding in its own nest

The world just stares at the mess you've left

ICE at the door, no knock, no name

Throwing out people with no claim to blame

Not to their homes, but to hell's front gate

El Salvador seals the American fate

You feed the rich while the bridges crack

Farmers broke, can't get the grain back

You tax the poor, let the markets play

Call it winning while you give it away

This is the decline and fall, we've seen it before

Legions rot while the traitor roars

The eagle's bleeding in its own nest

The world just stares at the mess you've left

We held your torch, we bled with you

Now you treat us like enemies too

Your friends are thieves, your foes you adore

You lock the gate, but you've opened the door

Lines in the dirt, neighbour on neighbour

Hate lit bright by a narcissist's favour

The land you swore to guard and keep

Now crumbles under the lies you heap

This is the decline and fall, the empire's end

No glory, no honour, just the game you bend

The eagle's dying in the shadow it cast

The world knows this fall will last

History warned you, but you wouldn't hear

The fall of Rome wasn't built in a year

And neither was this

This is the Decline and Fall of the American Empire.
