Plan For Leaving

You ask me

if I’ve got a plan for livin’

And I said

What I’ve got is not a given

Yeah, well maybe

you once knew somebody

Within

an inch of your life

Who was doing what’s right

But please, I beg forgivin’

Got a plan for livin’

and a plan for leavin’

If you ain’t giving

You get a plan for grieving

You can grieve

You’ll believe

Just a watch me leavin

They always said

I had a melancholic streak

Every valley had itself

an inverted peak

And I’d always wondered

if it was we’d ever speak again

Or remain on paper

just remaindered friends

Got a plan for livin’

and a plan for leavin’

If you ain’t given

Than I ain’t receivin’

Don’t believe?

Then you’ll conceive

As you watch me leavin’

I got a plan for living

And a plan for leaving

You ain’t giving

You get a plan for grieving

I can see

We just can’t be

So ill be leavin’
