Greatest Hits - Matthew West/Granger Smith
Composed by：Matthew West
Ever since I can remember
I've been chasing this dream
Every song every tour making sure
The world remembers me
Trying to get to number one
And feeling empty when I do
But I feel just like a legend
When I'm standing next to you
I used to think that famous meant the roar of a crowd
But now the music to my ears
Is the laughter in this house
When my songs are sung and my days are done
May it all come back to this
You'll go down in history as my greatest hits
Oh you'll go down in history as my greatest hits
Some people say success
Is more money in the bank
But I'm the richest man in Texas
Every time you look at me that way
And we're still two kids in love
But now they call us mom and dad
There's no name in lights
That makes me prouder than that
'Cause I used to think that famous
Meant the roar of a crowd
But now the music to my ears
Is the laughter in this house
When my songs are sung and my days are done
May it all come back to this
You'll go down in history as my greatest hits
Oh you'll go down in history as my greatest hits
Oh yeah
Whoo
You're my
Oh you're my greatest hits
But lately I've been thinking
About my funeral someday
When I kick the dirt and I leave this earth
I wonder what they'll say
Will they talk about a nice career
Or how that one record went gold
Or will they say I loved my God and family
With all my heart and soul
I used to think that famous meant the roar of a crowd
But now the music to my ears
Is the laughter in this house
When my songs are sung and my days are done
May it all come back to this
You'll go down in history as my greatest hits
Oh you'll go down in history as my greatest hits
You'll go down in history as my
My greatest hits
Hmm whoo whoo
