hit the bottom, the dirt's embrace
broke the ground to make a way
hollowed a hole to circumvent, throw all of my troubles in
cut the tether and slipped away
nothing holding me in place
found myself in the empty space
barreling towards a pit of flames
in the small parts of a second,
chasm burning bright,
a void inside me opens wide
shadows scatter
staring into the fiery light
I step inside
