Dreamed I Was

This morning I dreamed I was happy,

You were there with me,

You said that we could be anything,

Anything we want to be.

In that moment I knew to be true

In that moment I knew it could be,

In that moment I knew it could be

If you were there with me.

Together we floated around,

The scenery so serene,

You held my body high above you,

And still I fell free.

In that moment I knew to be true ,

In that moment I knew it could be,

In that moment floating right beside you

In that moment I knew it could be.

Then later this morning I got out of bed

And you were not there with me,

The words that we had spoken,

Slipping from my memory.

Oh my sweet dream,

Don’t go away.

My sweet dream don’t leave me be.

All my sweet dreams,

Don’t go away,

Don’t go away from me.

So this evening, I’ll go back to sleep,

This evening I’ll look for you there.

This evening I’ll be anything

And you could be there with me.
