in between yawning

when were half asleep

I’m too committed to my bad dreams

unconscious fantasies

to feel an ounce of peace

the words you spilled to me last night

are written on my skin

in permanent ink

and I’m obsessive in a bad way

prefer night to day

but it just feels right to me

cause i want what i want wrapped around my finger

and when i feel a feeling i let it linger

cause i get bored and it’s too bad

cause i could be anywhere and

i feel the need to run back home

cause i would rather be alone

last night i saw you in my bad dreams

and every piece of me was captive in your hands

i woke with your arms around me

but i felt so unsafe like nothing was real

I’m standing solo on a thin line

between dark and light

and it’s becoming a piece of me
