black silt in the vessel
resting on the wood
body feels like heavy stone
sinking through the floor
tongue is dry and salt
waiting for the heat
(open up)
bitter signal in the throat
bitter signal in the throat
bitter signal in the throat
(push it down)
straighten out the spine
watch the pulse under skin
move the hands like knives
efficiency is a clean blade
swallow the dark water
let it hit the chest
eyes are wide and predatory
fixing on the white space
count the teeth with the tongue
feel the blood turn sharp
everything is clear now
(everything is sharp)
bitter signal in the throat
bitter signal in the throat
bitter signal in the throat
(push it down)
straighten out the spine
watch the pulse under skin
move the hands like knives
efficiency is a clean blade
suspended in the air
tethered to the task
buried under the desk
but the heart is fast
(make it beat)
(make it beat)
bitter signal in the throat
bitter signal in the throat
bitter signal in the throat
(push it down)
straighten out the spine
watch the pulse under skin
move the hands like knives
efficiency is a clean blade
the taste is dark
the taste is salt
keep the body moving
(keep moving)
until the floor breaks
