Alone in the field, with the sky shining bright,
A harp in my hands, I sing through the night.
Every chord is a prayer of love,
My heart belongs to You, above.
With all of my soul, I will praise Your name,
You’re my Shepherd, I lack no gain.
Like David, I’ll walk in faith each day,
Your love in me will lead the way.
In battles I faced, I feared no harm,
Your hand was with me, kept me from alarm.
Every giant I’ve brought to the ground,
It’s in Your name my strength is found.
With all of my soul, I will praise Your name,
You’re my Shepherd, I lack no gain.
Like David, I’ll walk in faith each day,
Your love in me will lead the way.
I seek You in the morning light,
In every star that glows at night.
With a heart contrite and true,
My praise will rise like incense to You.
When the world shakes and I start to fall,
Your love lifts me and answers my call.
Like David, I dance and proclaim,
Exalting You, Lord, I shout Your name.
With all of my soul, I will praise Your name,
You’re my Shepherd, I lack no gain.
Like David, I’ll walk in faith each day,
Your love in me will lead the way.
"Create in me a pure heart, O God" — Psalm 51:10
I am Yours, forever I’ll remain.
