Change
It's not what we make of ourselves
But what He remakes in us
"ahhh renewed"
I tried to fix what I couldn't see
Tried to build a better version of me
But every brick I laid came tumbling down
'Cause the truth can't rise on broken ground
Then I heard a whisper deep in my soul
"Child, let go — I'll make you whole"
I'm being renewed not by my hands
But by a power greater than I understand
He's showing me the me He sees
The one He made me to be
I'm being renewed from the inside through
By love divine — I'm made brand new
I wore my guilt like a heavy chain
Carried the weight of forgotten pain
But grace found me where I fell
And love wrote me a brand-new tale
I stopped fighting what I couldn't define
And found His purpose was already mine
I'm being renewed not by my hands
But by a power greater than I understand
He's showing me the me He sees
The one He made me to be
I'm being renewed from the inside through
By love divine — I'm made brand new
"Brand new I'm made brand new")
When I see through His eyes, I begin to believe—
That what was broken, He's shaping to achieve
Not the old me, not the one I knew
But the spirit-born me forever made new
I'm being renewed, every breath, every day
He's washing my doubts and fears away
I'm not who I was, I'm who He knew —
From ashes to beauty, I'm being renewed
Not by strength, not by might
But by His Spirit, I've come to life
Came a silence holy deep
The kind of quiet where souls speak
She said,"The world calls you grown
But Heaven knows its own
The kingdom looks like me —
Small hands, big faith, pure eyes that see"
And suddenly I knew —
The mask hides what the soul can't yet face: sorrow
So now I walk with her inside
She takes my hand when I would hide
She teaches me to breathe in grace
To meet the world with open face
Every time I see her smile
The cynic dies a little while
The anger fades, the wounds make peace
And in that stillness, I find release
She whispers,"Love was never gone
It only slept while you pressed on"
And I realize the child is what sets the adult free
The child forgave the adult she met —
And the adult learned to believe again
Looking inside
I found them both —
The child I was, and the soul I am
