Moving and grooving on with my day

When a riptide came & swept it all away

Taking me right out far past the ridge

To that spot right under the bridge

& as the safety line snapped

I hung on firm to my map

As my feet got ensnared

This losing streak I pared

As the earth’s mantle did crack

I held on firm to the facts

As the winds whipped & lashed

I stayed on true to my pact

Discarded half-heartedly

Freezing and wheezing deep in the night

When a thick fog obstructed my sight

Lost my direction compass it was broke

Started a fire rain smothered the smoke

& as the drawbridge did sway

I held on true to my way

Standing firm in the gale

Didn’t abort or bail

Though the current did churn

Magnetic pulse I did spurn

Walking the path alone

‘Til I get back to my home

Yeah man they jumped ship & bailed

Turned hip & hightailed

Left us scattered and strewn

Deserted on high shore full marooned

I caught you looking back

Keep moving on

Ensure avoid the cracks

Keep fooling

Sidestepping & shuffling along the block

When a detour rerouted my walk

Took a sharp left down the wrong road

When I got took for more than what was owed

But I’ve recovered dusted myself off

Licked my wounds crawled out of the trough

Seeking some wisdom called up my sage

Said hold the phone let me check the wage

Feels like I’m turning the page

Dominos fall into line
