Dolce - Previn
Composed by:Previn Hudetz
Many years have passed and I am older
Time flies away like the birds above the sea
My heart cries out for the truth I never told her
Her eyes seem to speak to me
I'd swear I heard her say
Dolce dolce hearts of glas and hands of clay
Sweet as the first Spring Morn when Winter falls away
Dolce dolce life's too sweet to turn away
Slow down hold the moment
And never forget today
And then she'd slowly stand
And gently take my hand and say
Life's too sweet for pain an' sorrow come away
We'll sail away on waves of silver
Beneath a sun of glowing gold
And if the night should claim the light
We'll stand together
Both our spirits shining bright
And should you tire of sea and sky
And should our circumstance elicit but a sigh
Remember this and all is well
For through the ages thus did sages all foretell
Dolce dolce hearts to love and hands to pray
Let the soothing summer rain wash dark an' death away
Dolce dolce love's too sweet to hide away
Both our hearts as one heart
The ocean and the sun
And then she'd look my way
And in the light of love she'd say
Love's too sweet for fear an' folly
Come away
Come away
