The First Man On Mars

Stargazing like a supernatural spread across each crevice of our sky

Curdling the cotton clouds

Yet somehow continues to lie there waiting

For what's about to happen

Dream awake with cookies baked

And pancakes for everyone with a grinning smile

Happy as charged

First man on Mars

And now the stars are falling into place

Like a good little boy

Idolising rooks with crooks and knights in shining armour

The royals frolicking in the parlour

With looks in books

The disaster charmer

an overindulgent father

We simply remain

Our throne to claim

And now the stars are falling into place

And now the world is turning

This last embrace

Such a good little boy

Now the stars are falling into place

This world it keeps on turning

Lying through your mouldy teeth

The bliss old world keeps churning
