Golden Nap - BeeWaee
Sunlight folds across my hand
A little warmth I understand
The room is still
The air is slow
And dreams decide where I should go
Curtains breathe a gentle sound
A whisper hums without a ground
And in this hush
I sink and stay
Where time and thought just drift away
Golden nap
Don't wake me yet
The sky still hums
In soft duet
No rush to rise
No world to meet
Just velvet air
And folded sheets
Dust floats like a lullaby
The sun pretends it's saying goodbye
The clock forgets its steady tune
The shadows stretch
The room's in bloom
Half in sleep
I half recall
The sound of footsteps down the hall
But nothing moves
And that's okay
This gentle light will never fade
If peace could breathe
It might breathe slow
Between the sighs
I barely know
I close my eyes
The gold runs deep
I fall
But softly still asleep
Golden nap
Stay as you are
Light and warmth
In a single bar
The world can wait
The day can bend
I'll sleep
Inside this glow again
One quiet note
One silent clap
I fade inside my golden nap
