Sweet Blue (First Version)

Beside the park gate

Your wild hair unkempt

You smelled of the Everglades

Down by the river’s edge

You took me by surprise

When you kissed me on my mouth

and you grabbed my thigh

With our hands entwined

You spoke of butterflies

And told me how you cried when you were in love

Oh sweet Blue...

Oh the loveliness of you

It cannot be compared

Oh sweet Blue...

Oh the prettiness of you

It cannot be compared

Much later on that night

Well I could not think right

Just thinking of your smile

made my legs go weak

And as the sun did rise

I yearned for your sweet light

Just thinking of that boy

Made this girl go weak

Oh sweet Blue...

Oh the loveliness of you

It cannot be compared

Oh sweet Blue...

Oh the prettiness of you

It cannot be compared

Oh sweet Blue...

Oh the loveliness of you

It cannot be compared

Oh sweet Blue...

Oh the prettiness of you

It cannot be compared
