You shake our souls
While you hold our bones intertwined
You breathe in our lungs
While we have the stories sung that we cite
The meanings we make are the ones that we take
Up to fight
When the giant awakes
We pack our bags we've been trained
We know what to bring have been told where to aim
With our sling
The terror we faced took defeat and we gained back
Our land
When the fighting was done
We shed off the blood and said our prayers
When the king broke his vows
We seized to bow and ran for our lives
Leaving our friends behind
Waited for the killing to be done
Until then we hid our face in the caves
It was not what they knew
But what we tried to hied
The confessions we refrained
The adoration we held back
That fueled their rage
