In the Time We Have

What will we see? What will we learn?

What will we trust at every turn?

Who will we meet? Who makes us smile?

Who will walk with us for a while?

Choosing, losing, choosing again

Making today from where we stand

No turning back, no second chance

Every second becomes our life

Morning light falls across my face

I step outside at an easy pace

The streets may look like yesterday

But no two moments are ever the same

Will I look closer or turn away?

What will I trust, and what will I question?

Even the hours that pass unseen

Are pieces of this life in me

We cannot go everywhere

We cannot meet everyone

So I will follow where my heart

Is calling me to become

In the time we have to live

What will I choose, and what will I give?

Who will I laugh with? What will I say?

What kind of future will I create?

I won’t keep chasing roads left behind

I’ll hold the meaning of being alive

Today will never return again

So I will live as who I am

Some words can hurt me through the night

Some smiles can bring me back to life

Through every meeting and goodbye

We learn what matters deep inside

What will I think? What will I share?

Who will grow older with me there?

Even the words I could not say

May lose their chance if I always wait

There may be no perfect answer

But standing still won’t move me on

I’ll hold the days I lost in doubt

And step into the coming dawn

In the time we have to live

Who will I love, and what will I give?

What will I treasure? What will I save?

What kind of words will remain someday?

Instead of grieving for days gone by

I want to see what I’ve yet to find

Today will never return again

So I will follow my heart until the end

Time moves on without a sound

Carrying every life around

Nothing in this world will last

That’s why this moment shines so bright

If there’s someone you miss, go meet them

If there are words in your heart, then speak them

Don’t wait forever for “someday”

Choose this life　choose today

And watch the sunset next to you

I may not know if the road is right

Maybe I won’t till the end of my life
