I know that I’m not perfect
But what am I to do?
The walls around me falling I’m not ready for the truth
I’m painting all these pictures my imagination drew
If only what they say is true
Perfect’s just a point a view
Waking up inside my head sometimes
I Feel the pressure and the stress run wild
I wanna know what’s at the top of the mountain
But my hands are getting colder every step I climb
So much easier said than done
Get them days in my bed I don’t see the sun
Night time hits and you’re filled with shame regret
Like the plans you made you should’ve kept
Now I’m sitting on the fence
I feel like a fraud to my friends
Life’s good but I’m seeing it different to them
I want so much more
I need so much more
I just wish they knew what was in my head
Because
I know that I’m not perfect
But what am I to do?

And everyone starts looking
Stripped down to my skin bare footed
Will they see me how I see me when they’re viewing
Will they understand the courage that it took to finally do it?
I’ll sing a song try hit the notes right
A couple bum, flat, off or not quite
Raw embracing it so I don’t fight
The feeling’s only temporary then it takes flight
Hours, working, striving, doubting
I see a brighter day when others see it clouding
I’m stuck in rubble when others are building towers
The point I’m making is we all have different powers so I
know that I’m not perfect
