Down falls the rain
And up rises the mist
Chill in breath
And be deprived of voice
Gusting wind
Shattering nests and hives
The play is on
With lives and deaths roaring past me
Oblivion floods
One who’s blind to time
I too feel the stars
I too feel the sun
I can touch the veins of land
Who cradles us as one
I wonder how to brace
The first twilight
And to
Engage the wind
On tree top and
To touch the sky
The night
Covers up
The ambitions they chase under the sun
And then soothes down
The predators the preys and the perils
And let my whispers be heard among the woods
Born in a rain
And flourish in shade
Seal the phrase
Into the spores we spray
From every
Root and trunk
Our voices echoing weak - yet strong
Ephemeral
But we are never wiped
Let us stride the land
Over the woods we span
We merge and grow with the nerves of the earth and sand
All hail the time
And all hail the death
Him who releases us free from eternity
So memory may flow
Epochs fly through
And our watch shall never fail
From the lowly bed of dirt and dust
Regain what’s grabbed by the fate
And praise the sun
