Nuns on the Run

A sprawling palace for religion

You'll find the grounds

Are not too shabby

But soon the moon

Will bring its bridge in

And then, in darkness

This old abbey

Comes to be a panacea

To set the stifled sisters right

So, like Maria

We will see a

Novice breaking rules tonight!

Nuns! Nuns, on the run

Nuns, nuns on the run!

We love us a novice

Who can flee and not flinch

Because the Abbess will nab us

If there's even a skritch!

Celeste just pinched the laudanum

And changed trajectory

While Ann Marie is slinking cake

Right through the refectory

The Prioress hears an epithet

From the garden!

Will she see

The panicked botanic Bernadette

Retrieve her habit from the tree?

Sh!

Sh!

Skritch!

Skritch!

Just hold your breath

Don't even twitch!

If you can manage

Try to vanish

If you want your Secret Wish!

Nuns! Nuns, on the run

Nuns, nuns on the run!

We love us a novice

Who can flee and not flinch

Because the Abbess will nab us

If there's even a skritch!

Margaret pilfers contraband

Past guards without a look

Angelica finds the holy land...

A room with every kind of book!

Theresa's in confessional

But she's not there to confess

She's a convent con professional

Reading letters from her ex

Sh! (Sh!)

Skritch! (Skritch!)

Just hold your breath

Don't even twitch!

If you can manage

Try to vanish

If you want your Secret Wish!

Nuns! Nuns, on the run...

Nuns, nuns on the run!

We love us a novice

Who can flee and not flinch

Because the Abbess will nab us

If there's even a skritch!

Nuns! Nuns on the run!

Nuns! Nuns on the run!
