Watching the Clown

Four years, I’m watching the clown, he makes the audience roar

He does whatever it takes to keep them screaming for more

They love how vicious he gets, humiliation’s the key

They’ve found their saviour at last, the king of stupidity

His lips are moving, that means he’s telling a lie

Where is the justice, somebody please tell me why

I’m watching the clown,

(Who’s gonna have the last laugh)

It’s bringing me down

(Will be stronger by half)

Watching the clown,

(So much damage was done)

Watching the clown

(All for the glory of one)

It never fails to amaze, it’s absolutely absurd

How many millions believe, hanging on every word

A modern wizard of oz, can they not tell he’s a fraud

He only sees them as pawns to service him as a god

Follow the leader, like lemmings into the sea

I just don’t get it, I guess the joke is on me

I’m watching the clown,

(Who’s gonna have the last laugh)

It’s bringing me down

(Will be stronger by half)

Watching the clown,

(So much damage was done)

Watching the clown

(All for the glory of one)

Phenomenons come and go, some fade completely from sight

but this particular clown, he won’t go quiet in the night

He simply can’t stand to lose, he’s gonna break all the toys

For like all dangerous men, what he can’t have he destroys

Oh, what a circus, just how insane will it get?

Pass me the popcorn, because it’s not over yet

Watching the clown, he’s wearing a frown

Is he goin’ down, yeah, drinks all around
