Stop The Movie - LivinForThePlanet
LivinForThePlanet
Science of the soul
Medicine music
I was climbing that mountain behind my house, still sick, still heavy, still working it out
17 years, replay in my head, same movie, same pain, same words I said
Why is it still rolling? Why can't I rest? I know the plot but my chest protests
You can't rush your brother, I know that line, but I could drag it out a thousand times
Watching that movie I hate the most, hoping the ending will change though the friends are froze
Every replay sparks the same emotion, same nervous system high, same motion of devotion
She's not watching that screen no more, she turned it off, found another theater door
So why am I still stuck inside, feeding the flame that burned my pride?
If she lied, I know it by now, truth shows up in presence not vow
And if she told it all I'd feel it too, but this body keeps chasing a no-world cue
I see how I fed the pain myself, how I controlled the skies of self-as-hell
Exercise, straight A chase, turning with their love in a structure of grace
Back then I was holding back flow, thinking purity meant saying no
While my body was screaming yes to her soul, I just didn't know
She didn't leave me 'cause she was low, she fell where I couldn't go
I was addicted to perfection, not connection
She found reflection in another direction
And I keep asking if I'm the fool for putting the ring back on, breaking the rule
But maybe that's what men who love do, rebuild what pain ripped in two
Still I got my own mirror to face, pixels, distractions, the side-escape
Moments I snuck away to ache, justified it with the space she made
I'm not clean either, man, I've been both victim and the ban
I can name every way I strayed, and the pattern looks the same
Now I see it, the shame I project, thinking I'd be too guilty to reconnect
So I assume she should be too, that's me not her bleeding through
But when we came back, when I touched her skin, she said this is what love should have been
That was the reset, the sacred win, the virginity of truth within
Our attest ain't faith, it's focus, you can't see beauty without losing locus
Can I breathe and let desire move without mistaking curiosity for proof?
Yeah, I still catch myself looking, but I'm not booking flights from home
Just learning how to see the world and let the love I have be known
Even on my darkest day, she's still asking if I'm okay
If I want coffee, food, or space, that's grace right there in my face
All the rest will fall in place, the money, the house, the travel, the faith
It's all waiting once I let love in and stop replaying where I've been
You can't rush it, brother, but you don't have to drag it out either
Step out the theater, breathe the dawn, you've already won by moving on
