Hey
There here's your weekly dose of feel good stories
You'll here how a mother gave birth on the side of a highway in colorado with nine one one on the phone
This is one of the good situations that we get to help out with truly is rewarding plus a city that loves their street cat
So much they've dedicated pretty much a whole museum to them from cn n i'm christopoo
And this is five good things
There's a saying that you're never too young to make a difference one high school student in virginia is proving exactly that human vcella is just fifteen years old
And when he's not playing basketball or participating in his schools marching band
He is developing a bar of soathat
Could one day treat skin cancer no big deal pretty much the way than it works
Is it uses this drug called immical lad
And it wraps it around these lipid based in of particles
It's a more affordable and accessible alternative to modern day skin cancer treatment
It's this invention called the skin cancer treating soap or scts for short
That's aren't
Him the title of time magazines
Twenty twenty four kid of the year
Human was inspired to address the condition
Because of where he grew up i was born if european i saw so many people that wewere working really long hours under the hot sun and kind of realized the damages in the consequences of uv radiation for such long periods of time
I was really inspired to take at it
It's twenty twenty two
The world health organization estimated there were more than one point five million new cases of skin cancer
The worldwide and the skin cancer foundation says
More people are diagnosed with skin cancer each year in the us
Than all the other cancers combined he's been working with skin cancer experts at john hopkin's university and the melanomomof research alliance to test the treatment
Before taking the next steps to bring it market
Market goal is that
Within the next next steyears
We can nnst yes from a simple passion project into more than non profit organization
Using that non profit to be able to distribute the bar of soap to people that needed the most cool kingsberry was driving his pregnant wife katland to the hospital last week in colorado
When he had to call nine one one we've been on our way to the hospital
And the water just broke in the inthe car
If you pull over
Somewhere i can get help to where you pull over at okay
Actually we are
We are pulling over
They were only like six minutes away from the hospital
But they couldn't wait any longer
I'm sending the paramedics to help you now say on the lininal exexacwhat what do next you gogot to said

Who has been a nine one one operator for ten years
A lot at the times
We don't
You know people don't call us on a good day or people call us in distress or having a medical emergency
And know was one of the good situations that we get to help out with have is to hear no imagine a world
Where your jacket charges
Your phone or the roof of your car powers
Your ride
That's the kind of solar power technology
That's on the horizon
It could be a very much better better place
When what producing all our power from clean renewable sources and using surface as we can use to produce our energy
Henry snaate is a professor of renewable energy in the physics department at foxford university
He and this team of developed a foperthin solar coding that can be applied to every day objects
How thinare we talking the new technology is made from a material called peros skate
Which is a hundred times dinner than a strand of hair with these perfef sky materials
They absorbed suunlight so strongly
They can be extremely thin so really
Really thin means can can be even more cojeso
They could have it in onneal
Back back back
Even a jacket made out of the stuff
That's producing even more power from the sunlight
Traditional solar panels convert about twenty percent of sunlight into power
This new material has the potential to capture forty five percent with solar technology is versatile as this day day there may not be as much of a need for solar farms that take up huge amounts of land
And he says power grids won't be as overworked as climate change continues to impact our lives
Scientists like snail are eager to take on the challenge to scale up this technology for everyday
Use the potential to actually transition the world into a much much better place is super exciting
We've got to have a vision of au topic and not a distopic future
And really trying do everything we can together
嗯嗯嗯
喂
That was so much
Easier than putting
I should just try to get the bomon onone t at every time

The city loves them so much fautidolu opened the museum almost entirely dedicated to them
How many cats in a stumble currently
It's difficult to know
But i believe there are more than three hundred thousand is stamples cat culture runs deep
Theyounging cat caes es their hitching rides on motorbikes
These spee lines are everywhere
And the community pites in to take care of them
