What does it mean to think in a structured way
I recently read an example of this in the old metaphor's life algorithm lesson
For example we usually use extroversion and introversion to classify a person's personality which is too crude
The old metaphor gives a structured way of thinking
Called the three doors model
The first door is the garden door the second door is the room door and the third door is the bedroom door
Some people have an open garden door but it is difficult to enter the front door of the house
He is facetious and welcoming but it is difficult to have a deep friendship with him
And there are those who keep the garden door closed and don't let people in easily at the front door of the house
But once he lets you in then he hates to open the bedroom door for you as well
These people are usually very introverted
But when people are a little bit sincere with them they are eager to open their hearts
By using this three door model to measure people wouldn't it be more accurate and much richer in types
Yes sometimes we don't need more information we just need to have a more dimensional framework of thinking to deepen our understanding of the facts
This is the power of structured thinking
