God gave me another reason to stand

I got scars, I got stories, I got reasons I’m grateful
Had some nights I was broken, still woke up faithful
You can count me out, that’s cool, God counted me in
Every time I hit the floor, He said, “Get up again”
I don’t need everybody to understand my praise
You weren’t there when He carried me through those days
I know what He did, so I know what He can do
If He brought me this far, I’m trusting Him with what’s next too
When the doctor says, “We found something”
And your whole world stops for a minute
When you’re sitting in that hospital room
Trying to find the strength to listen
When cancer has somebody fighting
When sickness has somebody worn down
When you’re praying beside that hospital bed
And all you can say is, “Jesus, don’t leave us now”
For the mother who’s scared for her baby
For the one waiting on test results
We may not know what tomorrow holds
But we know the One who’s holding us
So with tears running down our faces
We lift our hands and say—
I DECLARE VICTORY!
When I can’t see it—
