We’re condemned to be this free

Questioning all I ever see

Can’t embrace existence as it seems to be

My perception is all that I fear

We are lost in concept

For we are blind to what the curious mind can’t see

Indifference, desolation, take hold of me

For I can’t grasp what the colors bear for me

I can’t erase the bitter taste

Of a senseless being

My mind displaced in a boundless maze

For we are so unseeing

We’re so unseeing

My life deprived of all certainty

Because we don’t have the answers for what we’re meant to be

The sign of the times condition me

The end of our horizon is as far as we can see

Our senses constricted, perceptions confined

Our answers conflicted, the unknown divine

We are lost in wrong or right

The nihilist’s cry is corrupting my mind

There’s a prison in the land of the free

There’s a border to infinity

There’s no scale for the pain that I feel

There is nothing

There is nothing for me

We are lost in concept

Our minds shape this reality
