Like a Kiss and Good Bye

Your touch is sugar on my skin

But the taste turns sharp within

A dance on glass

We spin and fall

I hold the spark

It burns my hand

I let it go

It scars the sand

Bittersweet

It’s a love I can’t define

A tangled knot

Your heart and mine

Bittersweet

Like a kiss and a goodbye

A soaring high

Then crashing sky

Your laugh is music

Soft and clear

But it fades like whispers near

A fleeting echo

Here then gone

We’re fireworks in the rain

A burst of joy

Then pain

Two hearts

One wild refrain

Bittersweet

It’s a love I can’t define

A tangled knot

Your heart and mine

Bittersweet

Like a kiss and a goodbye

A soaring high

Then crashing sky
