This story takes place somewhere in the universe, among the stars, in a time I’m not so certain of, maybe now, maybe centuries from us, and the tower you’ll hear about is definitely on a planet far from ours, likely at the other side of the galaxy.
But honestly, what this story is about isn’t that different from what some of us dream of having right here…
Somewhere in this universe, a princess, unlike most princess’s we know of, isn’t caged in her tower, this one has an entire planet just for herself, free to think, to contemplate, to create on her own,
Somewhere in the same but vast universe, a knight wanders alone in her ship, looking for that discovery that would make everything shift, that would bring meaning to her adventures
On a planet far away from here
There was a princess
Alone high in a golden tower
Golden tower
A lonely knight wandering the stars
Saw a shiny spark
She went to see what had caught her eye
A golden tower
And maybe, just maybe, the knight gets to float close enough to the princess’s planet, and curiosity brings her to land close to the tower
And maybe, hopefully, if the knight is curious enough, she’ll take her space helmet off and stare at the upper balcony to meet the princess’s eyes
And the princess would look down, letting her thoughts wander at the bottom of her tower, discovering the knight’s tiny armoured contour
And certainly, the lady and the knight will fall in love instantly
Princesses don’t need a Prince Charming
They want a strong empress
Or a soft lady
Princesses don’t need no more saving
They want their own freedom
To be left in peace
The knight took her silver helmet off
Freeing her wild hair
And her eyes caught the princesses gaze
Love at first sight
Forever they lived up the tower
They saved each other
From loneliness and from wandering
