Long lines of bloodlines long forgotten
From my vantage point, tough times is all I’ve gotten
Never wavered, but there's been tiresome days
Sitting, wondering of who resides in my DNA
What stories untold? What joys? What pains?
Ancestors of old watching over my gains
Seeing my weakest moments, disappointments
Like a drop inside the deepest oceans, trying to steady my emotions
I would be lying if I said I was prepared
The lion’s share of these achievements, sometimes don’t know the reasons
Only been alive for 144 seasons
Hope to see my grandchildren before leaving
Before reaching them outer reaches
Before I’m out of reach and I’m just an afterthought
And this is just a thought I had
While I was just sitting at the park with my thoughts
