On the way back home
under the streetlight
white and yellow softly glow
though tiredness hits me like a wave
lucky it doesnt take me down
it only slows my steps
not my will to keep going
Sometimes I doubt my choice
wonder what itd be like the other way
another road another door
another version of me someday
But seems the life of now is Ok
tight exhausted but pleased and peaceful
wrapped in this quiet honest bliss
The street is long the night is deep
my shadow walks a step behind
