The Fire

trouble

war in my mind

I march on

no stars in my eyes

cold feet

as I'm standing still

the clouds won't move

but I know some day they will

I know when I look up

one of these days

i'm coming home

I'm breaking bread with all my worries

picking pieces off the floor

and I'll remember all the stories

told by those that came before

when we can't get the fire burning

and the heart to try, it starts to fade

I will try to find the patience

for the flame to find it's way

on this old road

a dark haze

over the hills

the moon won't shine
