017 晚安，小鸡宝贝
Good night,little chick
小宝贝，盖上小被子，闭上小眼睛，晚安妈妈要开始讲故事了。今天的故事叫《晚安，小鸡宝贝》。
Little one, snuggle under your blankie, close your tiny eyes—Good-night Mommy is starting the story now. Tonight's story is called，“Good Night, Little Chick”
夜深了，小鸡宝贝睡不着。
Night had fallen, but Little Chick couldn’t sleep.
窗外，有一个大月亮。
Outside the window hung a big bright moon.
“好漂亮的月亮！”
“What a pretty moon!”
小鸡宝贝从窗户跳出来。
Little Chick hopped out the window.
叽叽叽，啪哒，啪哒，叽叽叽，吧嗒，吧嗒，吧嗒嗒。
Cheep-cheep, pat-pat, cheep-cheep, plod-plod-plod.
小鸡宝贝在月光下，出去散步了。
Little Chick stepped out for a moonlit stroll.
“谁和我一起散步呢？”
“Who will walk with me?”
小鸡宝贝对小狗说：“小狗，小狗，一起去散步吧！”
Little Chick asked Puppy, “Pup-pup, wanna walk with me?”
小狗打了一个大哈欠：“嗯，嗯，好困呀！小鸡宝贝，晚安！”
Puppy yawned, “Mm-mm, so sleepy! Good night, Little Chick!”
小鸡宝贝对小羊说：“小羊，小羊，一起去散步吧！”
He asked Lamb, “Lamb-lamb, come walk with me!”
小羊打起了呼噜：“呼噜，呼噜，呼噜。”
Lamb only snored, “Zzz-zzz-zzz.”
“叽叽叽，一个人散步真没趣。”
“Cheep-cheep, walking alone is no fun.”
这时，头顶上传来一个声音。“喵——我和你一起去散步。”
Just then a voice overhead meowed, “I’ll walk with you!”
一只猫从树上蹿下来。
A kitty jumped down from the tree.
小鸡宝贝和小猫走在原野上，月亮照在身上。
Little Chick and Kitty strolled the meadow, moonlight on their backs.
“小猫，你看，月亮跟着我们呢！”
“Kitty, look—the moon’s following us!”
小猫说：“对了，有一个更棒的地方。月亮会落到你身旁，想去看吗？”
Kitty said, “There’s a spot where the moon drops right beside you—wanna see?”
小鸡宝贝和小猫走在黑黑的、静静的森林里。
They tiptoed into the dark, quiet woods.
呼噜，呼噜，呼噜噜。林子里的动物们睡得可真香啊！
Snore-snore—everyone was fast asleep!
小猫说：“到啦！你看，月亮就在那儿！”
Kitty whispered, “We’re here! Look, the moon’s right there!”
小鸡高兴地说：“真棒呀！我能摸到月亮啦。小猫，小猫，月亮凉不凉？”
Little Chick chirped, “Wow! I can touch it! Kitty, is the moon cold?”
“等一等，我去给你捞上来。”扑通！小猫跳进了小河里。
“Wait, I’ll scoop it for you.”Splash! Kitty leapt into the stream.
月亮碎了，变成一小块，一小块。
The moon shattered into tiny silver pieces.
小猫连忙道歉：“小鱼，小鱼，对不起，吵醒你们了。”
“Sorry, fishies—didn’t mean to wake you!”
小鸡对小猫说：“小猫，你全身湿透了，咱们回家吧！”
Chick said,“Kitty, you’re soaked—let’s head home!”
就在这时，一朵云飘过来，遮住了月亮。
Just then a cloud drifted over and hid the moon.
远处传来呼——呼——的声音。云朵越来越多，完全遮住了月亮。
Far off came a whoosh-whoosh sound. More clouds gathered and covered the moon completely.
呼——呼——
Whoosh-whoosh.
“真黑呀！什么都看不见了！”
“It’s so dark! I can’t see anything!”
“小猫，呼——呼——是什么声音？”
“Kitty, what’s that whoosh noise?”
小鸡觉得很害怕。
Little Chick felt scared.
“别怕，别怕，有我呢！”小猫紧紧地抱住小鸡宝贝。
“Don’t worry—I’m here!” Kitty hugged him tight.
呼——呼——
Whoosh-whoosh.
小猫说“啊，我知道了，是风声！”
“Ah, it’s only the wind!”
呼——呼——
Whoosh-whoosh.
小鸡也不害怕了，“原来是风声呀！”
Little Chick relaxed, “Oh, just the wind!”
小鸡宝贝和小猫手牵手，一起朝家走去。
Paw in wing, they headed home.
“晚安，森林！”
“Good night, forest!”
“晚安，小鸡宝贝！”
“Good night, Little Chick!”
“晚安，小猫！”
“Good night, Kitty!”
